When I think of people I would like to be like when I grow up. I can honestly say there are not many highly paid business men who I gush over. However after recently becoming addicted to the show Dragon's Den on CBC I have found someone who I admire.
W. Brett Wilson is a Canadian invester who does a termendous amount of philantrhopy. Wilson almost gives as much as he makes the charities. He wasn't always this way though. In his early days he sacraficed a lot of time with his family to become this successful and regreats it immensly. He now understands the value of family and how all the money in the world can not make up for that.
Brett Wilson has stucked to his Canadian roots and still lives in Calgary. Even with numerous successful ventures and his television show Dragon's Den he has stayed in Calgary which is more than we can say for many successful Canadians.
I admire Brett's intergrity when it comes to business as well as his willingness to take risks. He continues to risk huge amounts of money to support Canadian inventors and help them start or continue their businesses.
Brett's philantrophy and grace when dealing with business matters is really something I can get behind. I can only hope that in the future I can be even a little bit as successful as him.
