My current position is a professional bra fitter in a sales driven company. We have a strict sales process which is the business process I currently participate in. The process can be broken down into several componants.
Activities:
The activities involved within this business process are both automated and manual. The manual aspect of fitting and selling to the customer transforms a potential customer into a paying customer. The automated aspect of this process is the computer. The computer system transforms data about the sales into data that we can use to better train employees in the sales process as well as the effectiveness of the process.
Resources:
The resources involved in this process are many. The customer itself as well as the seller (myself) are both important to the process. The bras and inventory as resources to the process because without them the sale and sales process could not be completed. Without the customer's money the process would not be successful.
Facilities:
Facilities for this process include the store, the inventory and database which holds all sales information.
Information:
The knowledge derived from the process helps to accomplish the business goal of profit. From the process we can gain information such as number of sales, who buys, how much do they spend and how can we increase that.
